Basuki Asks Public Services to Be Closer to Citizens

Jakarta Provincial Government keeps evaluating its apparatuses so they would be more professional in managing regional financial and improve their performances. And in regional expenditure policies, the improvement of public services quality must be emphasized to meet all citizens’ basic needs for facilities and infrastructures.

“To improve public services quality, to shift the services into closer to the citizens,” stated Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama at Jakarta Parliament (DPRD) building, Thursday (7/11).

About low direct budget absorption, Basuki assessed it happens because of fault in account code and lack of supporting administration requirements, including failure in auction process.

“Particularly problems in land acquisition are no land price agreement with landowners and unqualified land technical administration, such as unclear land certificate ownership,” he uttered.

Moreover, there are also activities which administration has finished but cannot be executed fully, such as bus procurement for regular transportation revitalization, TransJakarta bus separator construction, as well as inventory and land acquisition for Cimanggis Reservoir (East Jakarta) and Sunter River (North Jakarta).

As for activities in which efficiency done, including efficiency in goods and services procurement auction, are activities that cannot be run due to there is no server provided yet, internet-based hospital licensing system procurement, and compilation of community health center and hospital referral networking system in Health Department.
